On the afternoon of September 7th 1956 Diana Suttey spent a while in the Crow’s Nest Cafe near Markyate in Hertfordshire. She drank a cup of tea, played on the jukebox and then hitched a lift just a few miles down the A5 to a nearby lay-by. 30 minutes and 10 witnesses later, her strangled body would be found under a bush just a few short miles away near Leverstock Green. Despite eyewitness accounts and massive police hunt, her killer was never found.
